Jelena Lukic (born Jelena Markovic) is a Serbian writer and performer. She wrote five books- two novels, two story books and a book of poetry. Besides, she wrote two plays for theater.
Beginning as a writer, Lukic shifted her focus to performance, room shows, stage and fresh poetry. In 2006 Lukic presented "Who cares for Anna Karenina", a new and experimentally stage show on a border of a theater play and a poetry performance. It's about the last lover of Anna Karenina, a librarian who helped her in escape from the novel, and her last minutes.
Jelena was born in Cacak, Serbia in 1975 and graduated in Philosophy in Belgrade.

Criticism of the pure reason in the Balkan manner" describes a meeting of a historical professor and a mysterious deserter. The charismatic veteran occupies everything around him: the flat, the life and the mind of his host, which is described in a breath-robbing way of the real war. But the descriptions of the deserter becomes more and more grotesque during the play. It is varying between normality and insanity
